Book: True Women by Janice Woods Windle

This is a very good fiction book based loosely on fact. The main characters are the ancestor's of the author. The setting for the book is in Texas, time period begins with the Texas War for Independence going forward through WWII and shortly thereafter.

Ms. Windle seems to spend the majority of the book with the deveopment and growth of Euphemia, the first main character. Euphemia pulled this reading into the story thoroughly. I must admit to sadness when it was time to move on in time. Sequential characters, while not as well defined, add interest and sauciness to the novel.

In general, this is a good read and I recommend a good sit-down with it.
